Japan Society Bento #47 (Explored #48/500!)

...it is a wish of mine, to return to Japan to sample what I missed my first time almost 50 years ago...

Japan Society Bento #47 (Explored #48/500!)
This is my entry to Japan Society's Virtual Bento Box Battle! These were the guidelines:

Guidelines
Although there is no strict theme to this bento box battle, special consideration may be given to entries incorporating any of these topics:
• The mission of Japan Society: “…to bring the people of the United States and Japan closer together in their appreciation and understanding of each other…”
• Imagery from the Japan Society Gallery exhibition Graphic Heroes, Magic Monsters: Japanese Prints by Utagawa Kuniyoshi from the Arthur R. Miller Collection
• Representations of iconic Japanese foods, landmarks, customs, or public figures.

I wanted to represent the mission of Japan Society by using a hamburger to symbolize USA and a sushi roll (an "iconic Japanese food") to symbolize Japan which is why they are together and smiling happily. I also added cherry blossoms because in 1912, Japan gave the United States cherry blossom trees as a gift to celebrate their friendship.
