Ex Japanese Tram on "Old Pueblo", Tucson Arizona

Ex Japanese Tram on "Old Pueblo", Tucson Arizona

The moment (just now) I saw this in TRAM PAINTER'S FLICKR PHOTOSTREAM, my mind returned to another time and another place: Yokohama, 1961 through 1963. This looks quite like the trolleys I loved to ride after dark, getting to one area to another. Taxis were affordable, but there were times when I loved to join in the mass transit and let my mind fill with the sounds of the Yokohama night. And these trams and the language gave my mind the energy it needed.

My friend, John Meadley took this with his cell phone. It was the "Operational Street Car".
John is in Arizona on business but took time off to indulge in one of his passions, old public transport.
